cayman racecar project

thanks for the kind words. i want to stay air cooled as it makes enough power for me. my dad on the other hand wants to put a 997 turbo engine in that we have. i told him i cant use 7- 800hp effectively at 99% of the tracks we race at, spa is the only track i think i would benefit, plus theres extra weight for radiators, coolant, pipework etc. im not going to decide until the new year now as im just putting a engine together for my old gt2 racecar thats in my avatar pic.
hey sleder, we rushed to get the car finished for the last round at silverstone so i hadnt fitted the data sensors i have. i was going to fit them when i arrived at the track but never got a minute to do it. should be great when its sorted, it felt better than my old gt2 within a hand full of laps
regards mark

should be back on with the cayman soon. i have a few more pics but cant post anymore, im at my limit?. is it because im not a member?
thanks mark

heres the exhaust exiting at the front of the sill. the silencers are in there to get more weight in the middle of the car

another side shot. all the ally water pipes on the floor like a plumbers nightmare fitting it all in now the seats nearly central and the silencers are in the sills

intercooler with ducting air from underneath. then the air rushing over the car pulls it out. worked great on my old gt2 racer
