Just wanted to share this print I just got back. I had this printed for my Dad. It's a 40 in. x 60 in. printed on aluminum of a photo I took at Rennsport Reunion this past October. I believe it is suppose to be the last unrestored 917.
It's hard to take a picture of a picture, but when printing on aluminum it really makes the colors pop!

Holy smokes that looks really nice! How much did that set you back and where do you get this done? I've never heard of printing on aluminum.

I have a local lab that can do this in Santa Cruz. I think there are a few labs throughout the states that can do it. This piece was around $500 for the print, which isn't cheap, but when you compare to the cost of framing I think it's pretty comparable. I actually want to call the lab and understand the process of how it works.

Your photo looks fantastic! The photo on aluminum sounds like a really cool idea and the colors are great. I might consider having that done with some photos.
I love seeing the old Martini Racing Porsches. I was at a local dealer the other day and picked up a free poster that shows part of a 936 in Martini racing livery with champagne flowing everywhere. It might go up in the garage, or the bonus room with my sports car reference materials.

I'll try to snap a quick photo of it for you in the next day or 2. The back of the poster shows a bunch of Driver Selection Martini Racing goods that are for sale at dealers like baseball caps, t-shirts etc.
