car pulling on right side, HELP!!!

Default car pulling on right side, HELP!!!

HI guys,

very very strange,

after tarret swaybars and links installed, realignment and corner balance

the car pulls a lot on the right side by itself, never happened before.

nothing wrong happened between the install and my alignement guy and I have no clue what could be the problem

we disconnected all the links, then front links, than rear links, swap tires side, put another set of wheels.
we checked the crossmember, i dont know if something could be bent...


the alignement spec is perfect except the caster it 0.3 degree difference.
we are installing some special rubber in the lower arm to correct the caster and see if it corrects the car but we're not very optimism

anyone can help asap!!!

Is the suspension stock except for the swaybars and drop links?

running jic coilovers, aftermarket toe links, and we added caster bushing

Either you have a dragging caliper on the right side, or the corner balance was done incorrectly.

I agree with the potential of corner balance issues. Make sure your ride height is close to the same right to left at front and back. Also make sure that the eccentric bolt at the camber adjustment at the rear is properly tight. I've had these slip causing extreme toe in.

Some coil overs allow for adjusting the actual length of the shock. If this is the case be sure all the shocks are the same length.

Also If for example one spring length in the L rear is holding too much and the R front is holding too much the cross weight may be fine but the car will teeter totter and the same goes for the shock length thing above if you have those type coil overs which are nice to have because it allows you to lower your car and maintain shock and spring travel. However if someone isn't used to working with them they may adj shock lengths in combo with spring length to corner balance the car and this can cause some major handling issues.

If the pulling is consistent on different roads and road surfaces I have to question the alignment. Just because you are told the alignment is ok...

And I wonder why the caster was out by that much? Caster is not normally adjustable so to be out suggests either the machine is wrong (out of adjustment itself) or the adjustment measurements were not done correctly or something is worn or bent.

problem is solved

complete front end was removed and reinstalled and the problem was fixed hehe

caster was .3 difference, now its back in the spec with the lower arm aftermarket caster bushings

car is running perfect and ready for the first upcoming DE

Got a similar problem... Bought the car a few months ago with a new set of winter tires. Since the car was pulling a bit on the right, I got it aligned at Porsche Prestige in Montreal. The work they've done on the car made it worse... so I went back and they were claiming that I hit a pothole or something... Still, they "fixed" it for a lower cost, but it still pulls on the right.

I have a brand new set of summer tires as well as new wheels to put on. I'm wondering where I should go to get this alignment issue resolved once for all. I also have a Cayman 2007. Any suggestion? .. and any idea where this problem is coming from? I can send the alignement specs if needed.
