Default Gen I price drop

do you guys think that once the rash of 09 leases hits the market the 06/07/08 models will come down in price? I realize they won't be cut in half, but any concessions?

I think they have already lost some value since the intro of the 2nd gen. When the 981 starts hitting the streets (whenever that will be), they will probably lose some more. No matter, I feel I'm getting my money's worth out of mine.

Having a tough time deciding on an 09 base or an 06 S. Very frustrating!

I'm in the same boat Cgland. Fortunately I don't have any pressure and can wait for the "right" car to show up. If I find one of either gen exactly how I want it (ie: loaded, low miles, fair price) I'm ready.

I hear ya 79! I'm not in a hurry either, just super excited and it's getting the best of me! Ugh! So torn on the issue.

I would definitely go with +09 MY since they have the redesigned engine, where you no longer need to worry about IMS problem based on what I've heard.

This plus the '09 telematics and switchgear are leaps and bounds better than the .1 years. I had a base '07 and it was really fun - I don't think you'll miss the extra HP from the S.

Come down in price I don't know but fly off the lots? Maybe.

I had my eye on an 09 Cayman that was coming in on a trade-in.

I checked with the dealer today and it has been sold!

The dealer to try out Craigslist listed the car on there even before it had been certified.

I had checked out the car and was pretty certain it would CPO, no problem. I also had picked some info on the car's history. Female driver/owner. No abuse. Reasonable servicing. No accidents. A nice car.

Almost before the ink was dry on Craigslist ad the phone rang from an interested party.

Car sold that day or next, after it was certified.

My search continues...

Sincerely,

Macster.
