New Boxster Saying Hi
Just thought I'd say hello - Andy from Fanny Bay, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada!! My first real loves are sport bikes and I still have the world's most beautiful Yamaha R1 (50th Anniversary - 06) and a mint 01 Ducati 996S, but as I'm now over 50 I thought I'd add a sports car to the stable.
After 15 years of faithful service the time came to replace my old Acura (still a great car and my middle daughter will get some more years of enjoyment from her yet). I had a Civic Si or Kia Forte type budget but I wanted to see what a strong Canadian dollar and a weak US economy and dollar would net me in the used car market!! What I ended up getting was an absolutely mint (well beyond mint really -- it seems in all respects brand new) Porsche Boxster with 40K kms on the clock fully serviced with new brakes and tires with warrantee from Weisach Porsche in Vancouver (what a great dealership) -- this was a California car thats obviously never seen snow or salt or probably rain!! Maybe not the most practical car but it sure will be fun and will hold it`s value for quite a while.
The photos are professional they we the ones taken by Weisach for their website. They have a contract with a photo outfit to do this for all their listings. When you take delivery of the car you get a disk of their shots as you can`t copy or download them from the website.

Yep I think so - this year I'm not putting it on the road until Apr but after that it'll become my daily driver. Heck I only paid what a new Civic cost so I've got no worries and I'll get some winter rims/tires but where I live we only might get one snow fall a year of 5-10 cms thats it!!

It's funny you should say that as I live in the oldest house in Fanny Bay (the original farm house - where Fanny Cowie lived hence Fanny Bay) - I walk out my front door on to the beach where millions of world famous Fanny Bay oysters litter the beach - free for the picking!!

Congrats on the new car! Great pictures.
Check the alignment on the front hood. It looks low from the pictures. Especially the right (driver's) corner. There are black rubber bumps stops that may help adjust the alignment when closed & locked-in.
