Default Front marker light falls out on 2005 Boxster

I just bought this car and haven't been able to figure out how the front side marker lights are fastened into the fenders. It pops out and I don't see anyplace for a screw or fastener of any type !
Can anyone advise ?
TIA

Are you referring to the lights placed close to the front wheels?

There should be a metal tab affixed just aft of the bulb opening that keeps the marker light tensioned in place, and allows removal by pressing. If that tab has fallen off, the marker light wouldn't stay in.

Also if the tabs have been compressed to far they will come loose. If the tabs are still there try pulling them outwards, if not you can replace them with a new set of clear markers from Suncoast for about $35.00.

Ugh...
These look like brand new clear markers...guess the previous owner or mechanic did something funky !
