Good for you, hope got your price. Was a very nice example. Too nice for what I'm going to do: Commute about 45 miles a day round trip. Lot of fun in a P car ( since about 80% freeway at 80+ average at 6:30 am) but NOT the way to hold value. This one will be left stock. So, now the 951 can get a bit more specialized.....

Dealer that maintained was in Auto group my best friend worked for 13 yrs so got records pulled up and visited with his pal that was service writer for PO. Good price and got comfy with the past. Car seem sort of fast......

As am I. Mine is PDK, w/o Sports Chrono. I'm considering the Porsche Sports Mode software upgrade - any experience with it? Only mod I've done are the clear sides.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Not sure if the later model Caymans have this but my 08 Cayman S did: There's a plastic panel/baffle just behind the engine air intake inlet vent that can be removed. A tech did it when I brought my new Cayman in for something else. Took him about 5 minutes or less.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Targa,
What is your quest for? daily driver? track car? a little of both?

I had an 07S and went to a 10Cayman w/PDK, about 20% better fuel economy

the 2.9 Cayman is loads of fun, either as a dd or a track/autocross car
granted the S-model has 55 more horses but if you're not Patrick Long or his twin brother you can probably do very well with a 2.9 Cayman

on the other hand, if you're an experienced track rat, the R model looks like a great package (according to one source 53 new ones remain on dealers lots)

the older models (06 to 08) have had some issues, especially when driven hard on the track but mine was trouble free for over 50,000 miles
traded it in to try out the PDK, otherwise I'd probably still have it

by the way, PDK is awesome

cheers,
Steve

You can now get great track pads for the BASE Cayman - no worries! We had Pagid make them - one less reason NOT to get a base.

For what it is worth, I am delighted with my 2007 base Cayman, which I track and it is the 9th Porsche I have owned.
