In 2009, I brought my 08 RS back from Houston on I-10.
I'll probably look at something further north, maybe 40 (at least once west of Texas). It will depend on how long I have to do it in, and the timing of the car's arrival.

Going in Saturday to (possibly) place my order and go over the spec. I'm very excited!

I know what you mean. I'm in waiting mode (July build) now, after giving up on PTS.

What are you going to be using it for? What are your must-haves?
Mine will be daily driven, so is not stripped (or inexpensive).

Have fun, I went in trying to keep the budget down and ended up spending the MRM (max MSRP you can use for a lease). Only made two changes since then, still waiting for a firm build date. My dealer told me he's seeing orders for May allocations bumped back to June. Mine's an S, so the situation may be different for R's.

Default Like the southern I-10 route much better than ol' I-40

Flatter... and I dig doing 90 mph through West Texas. In Arizona I decide if it's I-8 or I-10 into the LA basin.

It's hard to imagine the route any flatter. It's been a while since I've driven through the SEC. I'm looking forward to it.

Saw this Cayman R at my dealer . . . http://www.sonnenporsche.com/detail-...w-7007096.html. Looks incredible in GT silver. Oddly equipped though with lux features like nav and bose but no a/c.

Platinum with silver wheels. I thought I'd want Aqua, but it didn't thrill me in person, plus I can't get past the silver trim. I couldn't find a GT Silver car to look at - though I love the pics that daddyscar found.

It works in silver, but it looks a little more 'mature' than I would have liked.

How much difference is there between GT and Platinum?
