Default Sports Chrono Lighting

First post, just got my CS (2011 black/black). Trying to figure things out via all the info provided by the dealer.

So here's my first (stupid) question for which I can't find covered - the car has the Sports Chrono - does it light? Drove the car the other night and it was dark, as though there was no light installed - is there one?

Could someone kindly educate me?

The Chrono Light turns on only when the timing device is running.

Light turns on when it's running OR if you leave it stopped at a non-zero position.
