thats a rather subdued color for a Boxster Spyder, but it looks nice. Also I prefer it with the decal delete.

That looks really good! It looks like a bimetallic with color shifting depending on how the light hits it. It would be a great way to show off the humps on the back and the subtle curves in the bumpers. Hmmm

I've now heard from two dealers that paint to sample may be available and I'm waiting until Tuesday to have that verified.

I'll post back when I hear on Tuesday.

I believe that paint is actually the Platinum Silver Metallic. I was told that you can no longer order the Arctic Silver and this is it if you want silver. There is a Spyder at Carlsen in Redwood City CA in this color along with the red leather interior. In the showroom under the fluorescent lights it looks just like the one in the picture. Outdoors it has a beige hue to it. You probably have seen this on the Panamera. I believe that was when the color was introduced.

It's hard to say for sure, lighting will have a major impact on what a color looks like. It appears almost metallic grey in the pictures but in sunlight platinum silver looks really light. Here's a shot of a 911 in Platinum Silver.....

Afshin

Would love to hear the outcome on the paint to sample, as recently as 2 weeks ago I received an emphatic No from PCNA.

Yeah, I got the same response from PNCA around the same time. The photo might be indeed Platinum... I have never seen Platinum in fluorescents, only in daylight which looks warm compared to the photo. Hopefully someone attending the show can chime in with the real answer.

Looks like they finally got the red seats right by not having the black alcantara inserts! I don't think that color is platinum - I've seen photos of Platinum Silver of various cars in various lighting - they are never as dark as the one in these photos.

Maybe someone in Detroit can find out what color it is...or is the show already over?
