Seat interchange question
Would the stock oe seats from an '09 Cayman S bolt into my '05 Boxster base model car? Would they work like factory? The adjustments, airbags, etc. Both cars came with the base level seats although both cars have the heated seats option.

I can say with at least 98% certainty that all should be well, so long as the equipment is the same. I know that the rails / mounting are identical, and that the harness plugs are the same. I do know that if you have manual (not power / memory / adaptive seats) that you have to stick with manual seats (by manual, I mean manual fore/aft adjustment with electric seat back tilt function).

I "think" there was an additional sensor (to detect passenger weight) for the air bags that was added mid 05 or 06. I'm pretty sure the passenger air bag cut off went from a dealer installed keyed switch on the 05's to a factory installed "automatic" air bag cut off in 06. I'm not sure on this though so don't take my word for it. Maybe you can tell by comparing the part numbers to see if the later seats have different #'s.
