Longevity of stock PASM shocks
I've seen thread's where people ask about the longevity of PASM shocks when they're considering lowering their car.
I'm curious to know how long the stock PASM shocks are expected to last under normal use on an unmodified suspension (no excessive tracking). My previous experience with stock shocks is that they perform well up to around 50k miles (unless the stockers we're bilsteins or koni's). Is a PASM shock built to higher standards such as what could be found in a Koni or Bilstein?
Who makes the stock PASM shocks for Porsche?
I just replaced the stock shocks in my A4 1.8T with non-sport Bilsteins and it feels a million times better. You really don't know how bad the shocks are until you replace them...
