Default Anyone in Charleston, WV to check out this 987?

I'm in the market, and came across this suspiciously bargain priced 987:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...r_id=275627804

However, I'm in Dallas and won't be able to travel until mid-July. Is there anyone on the board in the Charleston, WV area that would be willing to give it a quick once over?

Thanks.

Why not call the dealer and pay him for a PPI?

A PPI will indeed be my next step, assuming I can find a qualified local shop. However, given the car's low price, I'd prefer to have a comfort level with it before investing time/effort/money.

Autotrader is FULL of scams, beware! I came across several when I was looking to buy my boxster. If a deal looks too good to be true, it most likely is. I'd contact the seller and see what kind of response you get. You can usually tell that it's a scam by feeling them out.

Good luck and beware.

PS - I recently launched a site that you can use to find Porsches across several car sites including: Autotrader, Yahoo, eBay and Porsche.com. It's still in what I'll call a pre-alpha state, but, if you're in the market it might be able to help you out even though I'm not done with it yet: http://porschefinder.net. If you have any feedback on the site, send me a private message.

May be the pic quality but I don't like the fit of the front bumper cover. I'd like to see a pic that showed the A/C condensors in the radiator ducts.

Sincerely,

Macster.

It's a stripped 2005 Boxster. New it sold for ~42K. It's now 5-6 model years old and looks like the front has suffered a little paint wear. The carfax shows a surprising wealth of information including regular service. $20k sounds like a reasonable price for a car in WV where there is probably not a big market for Porsche. There are others listed in autotrader for less. I would def. pursue this car but with some caution. I would say that its worth a flight out there.
