3M Clear Bra

3M Clear Bra
For those who have installed the clear bra, have you elected to do the entire hood or just 20 or so inches up?
Also is air intake an issue with these motors? Are you using a stock OEM air filter or a better alternative? I have heard the oil in the K & N is not an option as the oil disrupts the MAF resulting in codes being thrown.

I have the 3M clear bra about 1/3 way for the front hood. I have not had problems with stone chips - the clear bra really does a good job keeping bugs and what-not off the paint. The clear bra allows me to use detailing spray to clean bugs off the clear bra, while others need to use pressure washer to wash the bugs off. You can barely seen the faint line about a foot off the headlight.
I am staying with OE air filter. They do a better job of keeping dirt out of the engine. While supposedly the aftermarket filters allows for longer time between cleaning, you probably still want to clean it often nonetheless. G'luck!

Thanks for all the info. The car is an 05 so I guess it would be a viable part. Is there a name for it (first gen 987 splitter) or a place to track down the part number?

I just bought the splitters off ebay and had them painted. I'll be installing them this weekend, over the clear bra. Im not too worried about it since the clear bra is barely noticeable. We'll see how the turn it.
