I can only speak for 987 model - and I assume your "washer nub" refers to a 987 (986 models are integrated into the lamps).

If your goal is to remove the silver cap, I can tell you it's not easy - I wasn't able to remove it even after I took out the entire sprayer unit. You run very high risk of breaking something - it's all plastic. I pulled out the sprayer unit to paint the silver cap black, and I removed the entire bumper to do it.
IIRC, the nub is actually spring loaded - like a pop-up sprinkler head, so (again, from memory) you *maybe* able to pull up on the nub a bit to do what you want. HTH.

What do you want to do?

You do have to pull off the front bumper cover on a 987 series to remove the washer jets. Once you have the cover mostly off, the Porsche manual will tell you to cut the hose line (how's that for ease of service!). I've had the bumper cover off my car last fall to install a Escort 9500 ci Remote radar unit - its a bit of a pain to get it off. Mostly because you have to jack the car up, remove the front wheels, and take out the plastic grille area in front of the wheels to get the bumper cover to release. Its not intuitive to remove, so if you decide you want to tackle it I'll write up full instructions (as I remember them). Of course you do get the benefit of cleaning out all the crud in your radiator front scoops - you'll be amazed at the debris accumulation in there.

I can't imagine cutting anything... the nozzle is actually attached using a plastic clip/clamp. The connection is the same as the connection hooking up to the washer reservoir that you would need to undo when you take off the bumper. Simple to R&R. I'll try & remember to some pictures tonight of when I get home.

Again, depending on what the OP is thinking of doing, may or may not have to remove bumper.

Here is the picture of the washer nozzle - as you can see the connector that plugs into the washer line. On the Boxster, the nozzle is "clipped" onto the radiator grill piece.
