Default Buyer's guide anywhere?

Hi All,

I am a 968 owner thinking about buying a 986/987. I searched for a buyer's guide on the site and came up empty. Can you point me to a resource that describes what to look for when buying a used boxster?

Thanks

Search out Mike Focke's web site and follow the links to a Boxster buyer's guide.

Excellence magazine runs an annual 986 buyers guide.

Various UK published indy Porsche mags have run Porsche buying guides. You'll have to visit their web sites for possible back issue availability.

They are GT Purely Porsche, 911 & Porsche World.

Look here:

Just a reminder a used Boxster is just a used car and a extensive and thorough and detailed used car check list when applied to a Boxster goes a long way to eliminating the examples to avoid.

Only when you can't reject the used Boxster on general used car issues, then of course you apply the more specific checks that Boxsters require. And the buyers guides will cover those in some detail.

Once you find an example you can post paritculars here and get some good input and someone may already know of the car and may know why it should be avoided, or why it might be worth pursuing.

Sincerely,

Macster.
