Default Full Leather...

Hi Guys,

I'm just curious but what does "full leather mean"? What parts besides the seats and shifter are actually covered in leather when a car has "Full Leather?" They don't really tell you want parts on Porsche's website when you "build a car." I see if you spec your own car you can choose full leather, but then there are other odds and ends (some of which seem silly to cover in leather such as AC vents, rear view mirror etc.)

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Dino

Full leather covers the dash, the binnacle around the instrument cluster, the center console trim, and a few extra bits on the doors. I can't remember the exact list, but it really does make the interior much nicer, imho.

If you want to go hog wild and cover the seat backs or the rear view mirror or such things, that's what those extra leather codes are for.

Thanks Chris,

my car does have full leather. However, when I saw there were so many other parts listed separately that can be covered in leather, I began to wonder what the phrase "full leather" means besides the seats, steering wheel and shifter.

Best regards,
Dino

With Porsche, there is probably and option to cover the cigarette lighter with leather.

Kidding aside I've sat in a few full leather Boxster's and it's quite an improvement over the standard interior (which mine has). My favorite interior has dark red leather with red stitching.

Actually, if you go to the "Build a car" part of the Porsche website under the options section there is an area titled "Interior Leather" with a list of everything you can get covered in leather (sun visors, air vents, rear view mirror, etc.). This list is really extensive.

Best regards,
Dino
