Turn the front wheels of the car hard right or hard left. In the inner fender liner, you will see a slot just behind the marker lights. Stick a screwdriver in there to press the spring forward and then rotate the side lamp right out by pulling the end nearest the tire.

FYI, I have a DE2 that came from Porsche with Carrera Sport 19" wheels as a $ 495 upgrade - right on the window sticker. I bought this new out of Naples (FL) Porsche in October.

Mods to date include the Rear Speaker Kit, and installation of an Escort 9500ci radar/laser system, plus an iPhone holder.

A couple of photos...

My Escort 9500 ci install with the main unit hidden behind the bumper cover. I made the panel in front of the shift lever to house the indicator lamp and controls - used to be the sunglass holder. Laser shifters mounted in the grille and rear license plate, and USB update port on the side panel. Speaker behind the driver's seat.

If you want to see the watch that came with each DE2, here's photos of it:

Looks great. I love the Carrera Sport 19" wheels on that car. The dark gray wheels are a nice combination with the gray stripes, and they are much easier to clean than the usual wheel found on DE2s and RS60s. I've only seen one other DE2 that had Carrera Sport wheels. Hope you are enjoying your car.

Best regards,
Dino

Yes, that car looks great with those wheels. I would say better than my white ones. I have noticed some clouding on the grey stickers on my car.Just the hood and trunk probably sun related. I haven't done anything to try to restore the sticker yet, some type of vinyl restorer is what I was thinking about, maybe 303 aerospace protectant. If anyone has any experience with stickers please chime in.

I'm not sure you can do anything with the vinyl stickers. Be careful what you put on them and talk to a pro sign graphics guy first. They should be 3M vinyl, and I run those on my commercial trucks for years and get a out 10 years lifespan from them (but the trucks are out in the weather 24/7, 365 days a year). I'd be real cautious putting any chemicals on them unless I checked around first. Those grey graphics are pricey - I think I saw the package selling for close to $ 900 at a dealer, and you'll pay another $ 500 to $ 800 to have them installed by a pro.

Those white wheels are going to be a bugger to keep clean with the brake dust. I recommend you get a bottle of REJEX as soon as you can and coat the wheel with it. I use nothing else on my wheels and it really makes washing them far, far easier and prevents a buildup in any porous areas.

Nice BMW K1200GT you have as your avatar, btw! What a rocketship that bike is..... I have a R1200GS so it appears our tastes are somewhat similar in machinery.

Thanks for the compliment on my bike. It is a 2006 Bmw K1200s. It has 167 HP so you are correct it is a rocket. With the bags on it she is a sleeper. My Porsches are fast but if you want to feel fast !

Hey guys my car finally arrived Wednesday night. It was 11;30pm when they finally drove it off the ramp and got it in my driveway. I had to wash it off some since it was filthy but as you can see in the pics I missed some spots. Tried uploading some pics but the site is not allowing me to.

Here's a link to some pics I just uploaded.

Hey Cas,

Congrats on the new edition! Great photos...it reminds me I really need to take some pix of my own car. I know most of the time people photograph their Boxsters with the top down, but its nice to see some top up photos, especially since it shows off your car has the gray top rather than black. Also the close up of the wheels show that they probably look better in person in the white than what most photos would lead one to believe. The painted center crests on the white background of the wheel look awesome. I also love the "family photos" of the new PDE2 next to your 951S and black Boxster. Thanks for sharing your photos and I hope you have some great weather to enjoy the car in today.

Best regards,
Dino

True that! Here's a couple of top-up photos w/spoiler activated. Sure like this car - big fun, big grins every drive.

I know what you mean. I have a big grin just thinking about it. A couple of my friends drove the car this past weekend. Man were they jealous. It's been raining the last few days so I haven't taken the car out at all. However, that did not stop me from going in it and start it up while in the garage.
