Am looking to upgrade my side grills to body colored ones like the original ones OR those that come on the Caymans which are body colored. Anyone have a good DIY on how to remove them? Is this an easy process? What about painting? I have an 09 speed yellow car and would look to do them in black or speed yellow....anything but the platinum silver that they come OEM from the factory. Thoughts? Help?

I agree the silver really didn't compliment or contrast anything on the SY. I did the black boxster vents on my SY to give the contrast. I also plan to paint the mirror housing blacks later in the year...
Google the Boxster removal process - it's slightly different from the Cayman removal process.
