Suggest you surf over to planetporsche.net a/k/a cayman club.net and follow my search there for "Quaife ATB." You'll find your answers and more Quaife discussion, including a current discounted Group Buy, than you can read this weekend.
I installed a Quaife and as detailed in my posts on that other site, I'm very pleased with my decision. Cost was a bit less than $1,000 for the diff + about $700 for the installation, although installation cost will vary depending on need for shims, shop experience & rates, and whether you replace the pressed on bearings with new ones (I did).

I have the Quaife unit. Paid 1200 with the exchange rate. Installed it myself.
Now, the car is how it should have come from the factory. I refused to do other mods until I could adequately put the power down. The diff is awesome.

As I recall, my P dealer charged about 8 hours which included shim time (which may not be needed in every case). I also chose to replace rather than reuse the press fit bearings. There was also a 20% PCA discount and the new 911S PDK loaner I had for a few days while my car was in the shop.
