They seem really overpriced, until you see what they cost in other countries. We actually get a pretty great deal (relatively).

For example, take the USA price and multiply by 3 to get the apporiximate price in Malaysia. Ok that is mostly Govt tax, but still the US market is among, if not the cheapest worldwide.

And US cars have a good amount of free options. The 09 911 here has free TPMS, Sunroof and xenon, where in Europe it's all an option. (i wish the sunroof was an option here too, I don't like it)

Thank God there's no sunroof on the Cayman or new GT3 though

Actually by Porsche standards the CS is a bargan. Almost every publication is raving about the '09 CS, especially with the 320HP, LSD, and the new tranny. Autoweek believes that the CS makes the 997 redundant, at least the non S version, and Car& Driver goes so far as to say it's the best sports car in the world. I don't know if I'd go that far, but if you want a true sports car, the CS IMO is a better choice than the $16K more expensive 997.

not just the new CS, but even the old CS rendered 997 pointless. the only reason i would take 997s over CS is due to HP difference. if the equalized the HP, i would take CS over any 997, including GT3 (assuming in this case, CS had the GT3 block).

drive the CS, you will understand.

i was always a 911 guy.
when the first customer cay s arrive nor cal back when (it was before release date). i convinced dealer that i should drive it even though the car officially hasn't arrived yet. i got loose going on to an on ramp. hell, i corrected steering, wot, drifted onto the ramp and made it. hey i was younger and dumber then. i proceed to immediately drift the car back off the freeway on the next off ramp. told my dealer buddy, i am driving it home and that was the first of my three cay s. impressive car.

now none of their sales ppl would go test drive with me. they just give me the key and let me go. i guess the test drive scared him a lot.

that's good news.
but in all honesty, if you need an LSD, the factory LSD will die in a year or two at most. just get a paul guard LSD and you are set.
