Hello. I have a BK boxster roll bar camera mount. Has anyone modified one of these mounts to fit the 987 roll bar?

Bray Krause does not have the 987 mount available, and it appears they aren't in any hurry to do so (987 production since 2005).

I don't know if BK ever came out with an updated harness for the 987 Boxsters, but I finally went with the I/O Port bracket. I got a 2nd set of 4 carriage bolts that were about 3/4" longer than the ones that come in the kit and it fits fine around my rollbars. I wrap a cloth around the bar before I tighten the bolts down so it doesn't bite into the padding on the rollbars.

The bracket works best with the top up so I can mount the camera as low as possible to get a good shot out the front windscreen. Might not be an issue, depending on the design of your camera.

Thanks for your input. I am going to remove the leather covered pad that is on the roll bar between the seats before I install the mount.

The use of longer bolts might be enough of a fix.
