I had my Boxster emblem, (silver plastic), replaced at the dealer because the beginning of the script of the letter "B" was broken...

...might be my imagination, but I am pretty sure this new emblem is script from a 986, not a 987. The difference I see ... is it real or imagined?

Take off with a blow dryer and dental floss,I think it looks better without it but you can change it yourself if you want.

i didnt think there was any difference between 986 and 987 boxster emblems . if you dont like it , you can always order a new one from eric @ bumperplugs.com. i just got a black one for my guards red/blk 987 .

I'll be putting on a Black Boxster S emblem on my Guards Red 987 when it gets here, and have been thinking about removing and painting the exhaust are trim piece Black as well, or maybe Guards Red...anything has to be better than the stock color.

After I'd replaced my broken "B" by the dealership on my old Boxster the 2nd time I just decided to leave it off. When I ordered my 987, I opted for the badging delete option since I'd just brake that darn "B" anyway! I really like the smooth butt-end now.

The black script is the 986 and the silver one is the 987,

Silver on Yellow is just wrong !!!

You should gove the remainder of the emblem to a Cayman owner so they can make their C-oxster emblem.
