Default Trickle Charger AC Cord???

Regarding 2007 Boxster Winter storage:

Anyone know a way to feed the trickle charger AC power cord from the cigarette lighter to the outside of the vehicle without cracking a window?

Doesn't seem to be another option that won't pinch the cord. I saw comments that older Boxsters had a notch in the door bottom but don't see any such feature on my 2007.

Thanks, Bruce

Bruce, I couldn't find a way. I had to purchase the battery terminal / cigarette lighter adapter from Suncoast Porsche. It's inexpensive and allows the charger to be used with other vehicles.

I have an '04 Anniv. model Boxster S and I just ran it under the door. I did not see any notch but it didn't seem to hurt the cord. Maybe try a test of a piece of wire about the same gauge to see if it gets cut. If it doesn't, you're probably ok.

Thanks "Charlie C" and "Moogle" and everyone for all the input. I decided to use "Charlie C's" and "Moogle's" suggestion. I checked it out with some lamp cord first. Seems to work fine.

Thanks, Bruce
