2006 Boxster Value
I have a 2006 Boxster, Midnight Blue, Tan, Blue Top; 18" Boxster S rims; Xenons, Heated Seats, Bose, Headlight Washers, Rain Sensor (Preferred Pkg Plus I think it's called!); Instrument Gauges to match interior; Roll Bar Painted Exterior Color; Sport Steering Wheel; 7,100 miles; 5 Speed.
Any thoughts on what I can sell it for? Needs have changed.
I've been offered a trade of $33.5 which is a huge step up from the $30's and $31's I was hearing over the phone! But even that is a shame....but I'd be done with it.
Thanks.

OMG, you steal your cars over there...
There's an almost identical car for sale here in Sweden, listed at 60K (they're not going to get that, but still), never mind Denmark where it'd be at least twice that (but that's a tax issue so at least it makes some sort of sense)...
Wonder why there are not more cars coming back to europe from the US? Even after factoring in freight and sales tax, I could still pay you $35K and come out on top...
There must be a catch, anyone?

Three Wheelin'
Unless there is something wrong with the car, the price is way too low. Black Book on an '06 is $35,600, and that is the wholesale price in average condition, assuming about 20k miles. At auction, the '05s are getting at least $33k.
Edit to add: Manheim auctions reports an average of $37k for '06 Boxsters with your mileage.

I thought that $33.5K seemed awfully low for an '06 with moderate miles, especially on a trade-in rather than an outright purchase by the Dealer. Based on the auction value, I would expect around $38K from a Dealer on a trade-in, and certainly no less than the auction price. On a private sale I'd try for $40K which I believe is very reasonable for an '06.
I just visited the Porsche site and did a search on '06 Boxsters near me and the asking price for one one with 11K miles was $42.9K and the other with 20K miles was $39.9K.

I don't understand the market prices. When I purchased the car new, I received a discount of $10,000. MSRP, apx $53k, and I paid $43k.
I didn't trade in, btw. Ending up selling on my own for $38k. Miss the car terribly, but at least I don't feel horrible about having lost too much $$.
