Couldn't one install a smaller underdrive pulley coupled with a larger alternator pulley (space providing). That way, everything is slowed down except the alternator, which keeps its original gear ratio from the crankshaft. Not as much power savings, but more peace of mind for a street car.

I posted this recently, hoping this it will help out the next person adding a P/S cooler. Same as the LN engineering solution but with a price tag less than $200.
