a word to the wise - the Audi gearbox does NOT stand up to a lot of track use, a Porsche box fits.

R+C

PS the best racing Caymans in the VLN have 'about' 500 bhp and need a more sophisticated rear suspension.

hi r+c thanks for the heads up... we've been ok thus far as it's not like we're anywhere close to pro level

I agree with the rear end... Porsche using struts there was kind of "hokey".

if you take the best RSR and the Cayman with the same engine (RSR without restrictors), there is about 6-7 seconds between them per 8:16 lap (composite circuit). Given the Cayman chassis' other benefits, the rear end is costing the Cayman, big time.

My advice to all those with ambitions to race a Cayman is to buy a salvage Cup or RSR and shift the bits over to the new car.
