Default Service Light Came On

A service light says "Service in 28 days" and of course it said 30 days, two days ago. I had planned to change the oil anyway this weekend and I did, but the light continues on. Any ideas on how to turn it off? My Boxster is a 2005 with 8,000 miles on it that I bought new, 12 months ago.
Thanks, Jim

IIRC the dealer can clear the message with his little tool (PIWIS?). Not sure if there are aftermarket solutions for this. Most cars just have a simple "Reset Service Indicator?" menu function accessible from the stalk or via whatever interface you have to the onboard computer(s)... apparently not ours
