Hi Folks,
I noted that the offical hard back Porsche Boxster brochure on ebay was going for 20 quid, but then found out that someone had already scanned in the same brochure. here are the links :-
Porsche Product Guide Brochure = 143 pages of pics and every detail on the 987 and 987S.
http://www.ppbb.com/public/ch_1-3_us...he-boxster.pdf
http://www.ppbb.com/public/ch_4-6_us...he-boxster.pdf
http://www.ppbb.com/public/ch_7-9_us...he-boxster.pdf
http://www.ppbb.com/public/ch_10-16_...he-boxster.pdf
What I found interesting was pages 125 - 140 on comparison to the boxster to the competition, they must be using this to train the sales staff and make sure they understand what cars the customers are comparing the boxster with.
Interesting!! For example here is one extract on page 125:-
Competition in the premium roadster segment is becoming increasingly intense. The Boxster’s main competition in this segment are the BMW Z4 3.0i, Mercedes-Benz SLK 350, Nissan 350Z Roadster and Audi TT Roadster 3.2 quattro. Also in this segment, but less of a threat (and therefore called “secondary competitors”), are the Honda S2000 and the Chrysler rossfire Roadster (SRT-6). The following competitor comparisons, comprising data and information, sideby-side comparisons and an overview of product advantages/customer benefits (the latter two comparisons only for the main competitors), provide an essential basis for argumentation in the sales Discussion.
Regards
Michael

That is not actually the brochure. It is actually the Official Product Information book, put together for dealers, for sales training. It is a Great resource.
Just head down to you local dealer, they should be more than happy to give you a brochure.

Well I am taking my 987S for its first service tomorrow, so I will ask...
I will let you know what they say. But I must admit its not the sort of thing porsche are going to give to customers as its intended as staff training material.

Perhaps we are using the same word for different meanings. Here, in the US, the brochure, is what is given to a perspective buyer. It is customer intended literature. What you posted is not what we would call a brochure, but instead it is a product information book, and you are right, they wont give it to you.

You might try to get one of these. It is given to the mechanics when they go to school for a new model. In the US you can buy it at the parts department. But apparently in the UK Porsche will not sell it to the general public.
