Default Miles to Go

Does the OBC use the fuel reserve in calculating MTG, or is the reserve still a reserve with respect to this number?

Miles to go is including the reserve. The light/warning comes on when you have 2 gallons left and/or 50 miles to go (whichever comes first).

Theoretically, your car will stop after that many miles - though I understand that as you get really close to that point, the numbers go away.
