762 PAG Code - Launch code
#4
All,
You may find this on some other discussion posted here as well, but 762 means as stated above that it was the first run of a new model that Porsche delivered to dealers. Porsche builds these "Launch Cars" with a specific set of options that they would like to debut the new model with. For instance with the 2006 Cayman S, the launch configuration was as follows: (many of these were built with the last 4 in the VIN between 0300-0600)
M6A - Black Mats - Porsche lettering
P77 - Leather Sport Seats
405 - 19" Carrera Classic Wheel
680 - Bose Surround Sound System
C02 - U.S. Standard/Emissions
482 - TPMS
446 - Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
342 - Heated Front Seats
P74 - Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package
The 2007 Cayman you are inquiring about will have some set of options like the one above that are common across all 2007 Caymans built under the 762 launch code.
