Default Croc Order Tomorrow!

It's been a long time since I've posted on Rennlist and the first time here in the Cayman S forum. I'll be heading to the local dealership tomorrow to place an order for a 2007 Cayman S. Here's the options we chose:

E7 - Atlas Gray
P77 - Leather Sport Seats
P16 - PCM
P74 - Bi-Xenon
XCZ - Sport Shift
435 - Sport Steering Wheel

After reading the discussion here on the merits of the Sport Chrono package, we decided against it and the PASM. Our Cayman's going to get a lot of track time, so the sport seats, wheel and shifter were all "must-have" items.

I left the car w/ the stock 18" wheels. Instead of Porsche's 19" wheels I think we're going to pick-up a set of aftermarket wheels for the street and relegate the stock 18's to track duty. (Hoosier-Daddy?)

Since Porsche stops work during the month of August, a car ordered tomorrow probably won't be built until September and will be delivered in October/November.

Thanks Alan! Things got screwed up this afternoon and I couldn't make it to the dealership. However, it's not all bad - I got an even better offer from another dealer. I'm still looking at a September build date. ....can't wait!

Live alittle and throw in the Porsche crest in the head rest. Very few agree with me that it is worth the price but I love it. The crest in the leather gives me a smile every time I glance at it. I was at a dealership the other day and also saw "Cayman" pressed into a stitched leather center console arm rest. Extremely cool!

Congrats!

Wow, that is the EXACT configuration and color that I've been looking at also.

Congrats!

I think the Seal Gray becomes a special order color for 2007. Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the kind words guys! The order has been placed - despite the fact that (at the time) the '07 price list hasn't been published yet.
I hope Seal Gray doesn't become a "special order" color like the Cobal Blue - that's a ('06 price) $3,070 option! I think Seal Gray was an $800ish option.
Steve - I did add the Porsche Crest in the headrest! I've seen it in 996's & 997's and thought it was a nice touch.
...is it November yet?
