Default Boxsters are fun!

Brought my Cayenne in for a few minor things and got a Boxster loaner for the weekend. What a blast! The more I drive it the more I want one. This one isn't even an "S" so I wondering how much better a Boxster S would be???

Sheesh, Kirb. All those gorgeous pics. And that was just on a spur of the moment loaner. I can imagine the portfolio you'd have if you actually owned one .

Boxsters ARE fun! There is something about the balance and tossability, and just the general drivng ambiance. The S just adds a hint more power and fun. I actually prefer the 987S to the C4S for fun and frolic street drives on weekends.

When I drop off the 996 for service and get a boxster, when I get back into the 996 it feels like a boat!

Kirby,

I live in East Bay as well...where is that road?

It is a great car. Just came back yesterday from Tahoe, Cal-Neva area, around the west shore to 89, then over Carson Pass down to the East Bay. Reaffirmed what a great buy I made. Oh, and the trip computer said that for 425+ miles including the uphill pull, overall mpg came out to 25.3!
