Hi Guys,
Can you help me, having owned 2 Porsche's previouly a 944 S2 Cabriolet and a 993 C2 I am looking to buy my first boxster, a second hand 987 S. Can I ask you what are the most important options when buying the new style Boxster S? For example, take a bog standard stripped out 987 S off the porsche factory floor and choose your top 3 must have options.
Anyway here are the spec's of the 2 cars that I am looking at:-
2005 PORSCHE BOXSTER 3.2 S 2dr Roadster,
4,800 miles, UK main dealer supplied with warranty to April 2007,
4,800 gentle miles,
Porsche Active Suspension System (PASM),
Sports Chrono package including computer,
Electric Memory Seats,
Wind deflector,
6 speed manual,
Midnight blue with blue leather interior,
Black hood,
BOSE hi-fi system,
Automatic climate control,
18" alloys,
GPS tracker,
"as new" condition, reason for sale - first baby just born.
£36,500
2005 PORSCHE BOXSTER 3.2 S 2dr Roadster,
12,000 miles, 2005 - 54 plate,
Atlas grey metallic with black leather,
19" Carerra S alloy wheels,
Sport chrono pack including trip computer,
Heated Electric seats,
Litronic lighting system (Xenon),
Bose Stereo upgrade,
Wind Deflecter package,
Climate Control,
Rear Parking sensors,
Tracker,
£35,995. ono
Which one do you think is the better option? Also what are the best options to have?
Thanks
Michael

Two things are the one's that distinguish one from the other in my book. One has PASM, the other not. The other has Bi-Xenons, the other not. Aside from color, these are the only things I would consider important. Between the two, PASM makes up for the lack of the Bi-Xenon and the higher price. I'd go with the first car.
Of course, that's MY personal choice.

I agree w/Palting go with the first one.
Litronics can be added later if you want and parking sensors have no business being on a Boxster (IMHO).
