Default 987 off lease

How much discount are 987S coming off lease vs purchase price? They seem to fight depreciation pretty well.

Not sure I understand your question Thorburna, but I doubt there are any off-lease 987s yet.

Check the Auto Leasing Guide site or www.leasecompare.com for typical residuals on a Boxster.

Chris is right. I have one of the first 987's in our area, and it's just over a year old.

What you may be seeing as "off-lease" vehicles are probably "executive cars", another term for demo cars or cars used by the sales personnel. It's unusual for anyone to lease a car for only a year. True off-lease 987's won't be hitting the market until spring 2007 after the 2 year leases are up, and the market probably will get flooded sometime spring 2008 when the 3 year leases are up.
