Anyone else notice an annoying wind whistle at speed from Passenger side mirror?

It's fine until you get to 65-75, then it whistles like a freakin freight train...was just curious if anyone else has noticed this on their Cayman.
Thanks!

My son and I took the Cayman up to 85 and let it coast down a few times. We heard a faint noise/whine that sounded to me like it was coming from the motor. My son thought it was coming from the back or the front. Neither of us heard anything from the passenger mirror. I even opened the window little and still couldn't hear anything out of the ordinary. If anything, the car had an amazing lack of wind noise at high speed.

This was a common problem on the Cayennes as well.
The 'fix' was a TSB to install a window seal "patch" in the upper rear corner of the window track.
Ask your dealer if there is such a TSB pending for the Cayman.

Even with the window open I can hear the whistle usually--since not many people seem to have this problem, I will double check to make sure that there isn't a pre-delivery piece of white tape still stuck somewhere making the wind noise...thanks for the responses!

It's caused from the horizontal crack on the side mirror where the two pieces come together. If you have someone reach their hand out while driving and squeeze the two pieces together it will stop. If you prevent air from getting into that crack then the whistling will stop.

I think it has to do with how tightly those two plastic pieces come together.

No whistling so far but I have an annoying clicking or plastic like rattling in the general location of the passenger mirror or door frame interface at high speeds. Dealer couldn't find the cause.....

There is a Porsche fix out...almost all 987s have it. Seems it's easier to hear with the top down
