are rear bumper guards removable

well just got rear ended in 2006 boxster
damage appears to be isolated to the bumper guard only
does anyone know if these can be easily replaced
i would like to be able to order a brand new
painted bumper guard from prosche if possible

Sorry to hear about the accident.
The bumper guards can be replaced...they attach to black brackets within the bumper (don't know if you need to remove the bumper to attach the guards to the black plastic brackets, or if Porsche will supply painted guards). I would take it to a reputable shop and get an estimate (should be covered by insurance).

They will pry off without removing the bumper cover but you need to remove the rear bumper cover to put them back on. Therefore I would suggest removing the rear bumper cover to take them off as well
