Seems cost prohibitive to me. I think by the time the dust settles, you could have had a Carerra S cab.

Yes, but the RK would outperform the C2S cab...

This much is true, but would the difference be appreciable I wonder?

Would factory conversions get a new VIN number from RUF USA in order to aid in resell value, or would it simply be noted as an "engine change" on all of the paperwork (think Saleen from the factory vs. Saleen aftermarket performance).

I think there is an outfit in Florida someplace that will do a similar conversion for about 15-20k less than RUF, nut sure how the cars stack up against each other though.

If I had countless buckets of money to pour away, I'm sure I'd be interested

The real question we have to ask ourselves is: Does Jay Leno have one? If not, then it is probably not worth having!
