I remember reading about Harm Lagaay saying that the rear-engined layout is a bit prohibitive...So, they might try to make it more of a mid-rear setup in the future.

Also, that the 911 will always be powered by a flat-6, simply because it just won't be a 911 if it weren't.

Of course, this was from a few years ago and Harm Lagaay is no longer with the company, so I don't know if their plans have changed.

It's hard to mess with a winning formula, since the magic is difficult to recapture once it's gone. The Cayman was a smart marketing move- a car that's cheaper to build but sells for more, ALA Benz CLK.
