I swear his 3.4l conversion sounds pretty much like my friends Ferrari. Pretty much F1 right on the money. He did have a pretty bad resonance problem between 2500-3000rpm. but the scream it produces at full throttle is worth the resonance problem.
CameronD, I'm not sure how a GHL system will sound on a 987S, but my 986S with GHL muffler/EVO intake definitely sounds Ferrari like and this is without headers or sport cats.

Do your GHLs resonate at all?
Maybe a little bit of resonance (not annoying) in the 2.5k-3k rpm range, but as the carbon builds it mellows out. If you want an aggressive sound the resonance is well worth it. By the way, GHL service is awesome.

I am a trooper. It is 12am and I just got back from San Diego. Slept about six hours last night and took a 2 hour nap today. Now I get another four hours and I am up at (before the crack of dawn) 4am to hit the road for my road trip to GHL headquarters in Mesa AZ.
I am excited about my exaust/cat customization. I will take tons of pics and I will document everything. I am going into this with 240hp at the wheels. Lets see what I can get with the
1)Exaust/cats
2) GIAC chip
3) Baffle plate removed and BMC filter (thanks Brett)
Dyno comes post exaust after 300 more miles on the odometer. This should give the cars motronic to learn the new mods...

I still have one BIG question about the Fabspeed. From the video posted on the website listed below the muffler appears to stick out below the bumper much further than stock. The Cargraphics looks like a much clearer installation.
Pictured below Fabspeed and Cargraphics exhaust.

HI Type 987 S
This is Joe @ Fabspeed Motorsports
The 3 photos that you have listed are of the Fabspeed Motorsport 987 sport exhaust that also fits the Cayman. The DANSK Cargraphic/FVD style system is bottom left. The system that you mention is from GHL upper RIGHT WILL NOT FIT on a 987 and is an exhaust for a regular 2000 to 2004 Model year Boxster system. The brackets and inlet pipes are all in the wrong locations and there must be pipes that go over the CV axles to hook up with the headers. Furthermore the mufflers must be level and plump to fit any 987 car. The GHL pictured is in a "V" formation. It wont get close to fit any new Boxster.
Fabspeed Motorsports completely designed a new MAXFLO high performance exhaust system for the 2005+ Boxster 987, "S" and Cayman cars. WE did not rig aything..........where did that "rig" thought even come from?
Fabspeed was the 1st company to offer a highperformance 987 Boxster exhaust and we launched it last summer. We have a detailed "before & after VIDEO" on our website that is very imformative to the new 987 Boxster owner that explains everything. Check it out and enjoy.
Fabspeed is completing a new set of 987 Boxster/Cayman headers that are equal lenght with merge collectors and race catalytic converters and we will be on the DYNAPACK DYNO this week.
Farnbacher Lolles racing has been testing and using our 987 exhaust on their 3.8Liter X51 equiped 400HP Cayman GTR car. I am engineering special parts for the GTR and regualr 987 & Cayman cars.
If the weather is good and it "does not rain sideways" fabspeed Motorsports will be at the Hershey
SWAP meet with the 987 Cayman Boxster exhaust and many other NEWLY designed cool Maxflo performance parts. We may even bring some Ferrari F430 & 360 exhaust as many Porsche owners have these cars too.
have a great week.

Joe,
I didn’t mean to seem so down on your product. It sounds great but having watched the video several times the Fabspeed still appears to drop down below the bottom of the bumper cover more than I would like. I retract the “rigged” description. The muffler just doesn’t seem to have a custom designed shape to keep it out of sight. Maybe it’s the camera angle? I wish I was closer to Hershey to see it in person.
