Ya know, I was thinking the same thing. I just took a look at one and the interior is so tight, with so much plastic behind the driver, I think that fitting a bar or cage is going to be a challenge. The entire rear cover for the hatch behind the driver may have to go, and the room in front of the driver/passenger air vents is very restricted, too. Oh well, someone will step up... I get a test-drive in about a week, and given my history of RS-izing everything, let's hope it's not love at first sight.

I've wondered the same thing. At 6' 1", I have to place the seat all the way back, and there doesn't seem to be any remaining room for a standard racing roll bar without cutting something out. And where would the roll bar's rear support legs connect? I'm sure there will eventually be some solution for racers, but it might not be pretty.

me too, the damn car is so tight....both chassis and space wise.

anyone installed race seats in 997 or 987?
there's a air bag in the seat, the air bag light will come on i am sure when aftermarket seats are installed.

how do you kill the light?

does that kill off the bag in steering wheel as well?

it's not just a thing you can turn off like the 9x6 cars, so i have been told

It will take a bit of creativity, but I'm sure it can be done. The airbag module looks to see a certain resistance value in that particular circuit to verify that the airbag is indeed there and recieving its prescribed amount of voltage. I imagine resistors installed in the circuit simulating the airbags load would trick the module into believing it was still there and functioning properly.
