Congratulations.

How long are they quoting you for delivery?

I have been quoted March - test drive on Monday might make my mind up...

So much for America being the land of the free. We can't drive the Cayman until January

what do the 5mm wheel spacers give you?

also, the latest issue of Excellence that reviews the Cayman is very down on the look of the 19" classic wheel on the car. not sure what they are seeing.

The spacers provide an ever so slightly wider track and subtle fill out to the wheel well...

Had my test drive today. That is one incredibly responsive car!

I expect I'll place my order next week, after I've had time to come back to reality a little...

Hmm...

It had it all - SatNav, Sport Chrono, PASM (none of which I want), 19" wheels (ditto), sports seats, manual box.

Thoroughly entertaining, exciting and fun drive! So much grip and so well-balanced even in really wet conditions. So confidence inspiring. It took me YEARS to be able to drive my 911 with the kind of confidence I felt within minutes in the Cayman. And that's not a criticism. It's a different kind of appeal, but incredibly addictive to drive.

Hi John,

Sounds good. So you are leaving us? Does that mean the engine probs are terminal? I saw a Cayman on the Kings Road yesterday and it looked very pretty in the flesh.

Cheers,

David
