Thats sounds real interesting, be faster then a bat out of hell. But what about the GT-3 engine or do they not sell those or are they a lot more money?

The GT3 engine has the old water cooled transmission to gearbox flange pattern and will not bolt up to the Cayman gearbox.

If the ring gear of the GT3 gearbox can be flipped to the other side of the gearbox (this is how Porsche got the 901 and 915 gearboxes to work in the 914/6 and 916 respectively) then the GT3 gearbox could be used in the Cayman. The mounts, cable shifter and clutch plumbing would have to be adapted as well, but that should be doable.

Reminds me of people dropping Carrera 3.2's into 914's.

Hey, a GT3 engine would actually bolt up to a 914 transmission. Maybe that is the way to go...
