my boxster s is currently running on 4 19" 997S standard wheels but the ride is a bit rough so i want to switch back to 18" and thinking about the 18" standard wheels on 997 (non s model)....

do they share the same off set? in any event can anyone tell me the off set of my boxster s

I don't know the offsets for the 997 18" standard wheels, but the 18" Boxster S wheels (the 5-spoke with the holes in the spokes near the rim) are 57mm for the fronts and 43mm for the rears. The wheels are 8 and 9" wide respectively. The 19" optional wheels for the Boxster (Carrera S, Carrera Classic, and SportDesign; all 8 and 9.5" wide) have offsets of 57mm for the fronts and 46mm for the rears.

this might sound a bit ignorance on my part but do you think if the 997 standard 18" wheels share the same width as the standard boxster s wheels ie. 8" and 9" their offset are identical?

 

Off the bat, the 997 18" are 8x18 front and 10x18 rears. Diff widths.
