M coupe

Saw the Z4 coupe (and the Cayman) in Frankfurt.
The M coupe has no presence and is small and very ugly (10 bagger, in case the other 9 break). I wouldn't waste energy thinking about this car as an alterative to the Cayman (beautiful)
Whatever the intended market of the Z4 coupe it's not going to impact the Cayman (IMO).

The M Coupe could fly to the moon for free and I still wouldn't buy it. It looks like a friggin' cabbage patch doll. I mean, what the hell are they trying to do? BMW could **** the Pope off.

It's a shame, I've owned 6 BMW's in the past but would never consider another unless they succesfully complete (design) rehab.

It actually makes me consider the last M-Coupe as being pretty attractive!

I agree it is not the most graceful design in pictures (then again, neither was the original M-Coupe). Nothing from Bangle's shop is what I would call beautiful these days, but it IS good design--have you noticed how many of the new Lexus, Infiniti, etc. now have elements of Bangle's "flame surfaced designs?"
It will be a fine drive, though, and will likely be at least $8-10k cheaper than Cayman S. Should be fun to run a flyoff between the two...

Keep in mind that the picture above is not the M version. I really didn't care too much for the Z3 Coupe, but always loved the M Coupe. This thing is from what I heard supposed to have over the 333 HP of the M3 and closer to 345-350 HP. With the addition of some tuning, the new M Coupe should have very good handling. While it will never handle on a Cayman S level, it should still be very good. Call me crazy, but the Cayman is not the best looking car. I really think the M Coupe will cut into Cayman sales more than most think...

Really...you think the old M Coupe was better looking?
This car had the latest M3 engine, but I never felt like it was fast. It also had the trailing arm suspension that I considered not to be a very good set up for the track.
The expect the new Z4 M Coupe will be a huge improvement

If that was directed towards me, I was talking about the old Z3 Coupe vs. the old M Coupe. The M Coupe should look good, hopefully it will have wider bodywork like the old M Coupe.
