I actually think the 03-04 986 bumper is kind of ugly. But as you say they are both beautiful cars with a special feel. Enjoy your Box.

I think the 986 front end is terrible. The side profile is the worst - it looks too pointy to me (I liked the original showcar front end). The 987 nose is a change in the right direction to me, even if it's only a subtle one.

Heh-heh.

I guess, to answer your question, YES, you are alone. Nobody else really hates the 987 front end.

The stock 986 front end is bland, the pre-2003 GT3 (Aerokit II) nose is the best available for the 986 IMHO. The 987 resembles the C4S in many ways which had the best looking 996 nose, thus the 987 is superior in looks to the 986 IMHO.

Its just a bumper, there many available for the 986 including turbo look, Ruf, etc...take ya pic.

autobahnny,
Beautiful "S"...really love the modifications you made to it! Your picuture would make a great screen saver.

While we're (not) on the topic, what wax do you use?

Yes it is beautiful, but it isn't mine. I admire this example of a 986 S as well. I just wanted to show a sweet example of the 986 with a few simple mods. Depending on my decision on the Cayman S (not sure), I'm planning a whole slew of mods for the "S". Stay tuned.
