Yup, there should be quite a bit of room. Got $5K discount on an S, delivery next month. But, I'm an old customer, this will be my third Porsche and my 5th car from them. There may also be more demand for a base 987. Just ask for a discount. If you don't ask, you don't get.

If you are a member of the PCA, you may also be able to obtain an additional discount, (particularly if your region has a strong presence).

Are you guys getting these discounts off of ordered cars or cars sitting on the lot?

As stated in my post, mine was ordered from scratch. You can probably get a bigger discount on a car that is on the lot as compared to one that is being ordered, particularly if it's close to the end of the month or close to the end of a financial quarter.

I'm a born haggler, and I like haggling. Whether it's for a one dollar doodad at the flea-market or a $100.000.00 car. Haggling is a respectable option. So long as you eventually plan to buy the best deal you get, and not just haggling for fun and not buy. Before you sign on the dotted line, HAGGLE!. If you don't ask, as has been said, you don't get.

Well I am about to go look at a new Bosxter in Toronto. Hopefully, I can get a really good deal. If I can get the kinds of discounts that everyone here is talking about then I can upgrade to a BoxsterS.

on the lot 2005 Box s were plentiful at 3-5 off window new when i looked but PASM is hard to find. i looked at an artic 57 car that was available at 52 which aint too bad, not a car that really needs $$$$ options. mayvbe you can find a 54 stripper for 49.

with a few miles i paid 9 off plus the car had 3k option not in the window

What????? Please do tell where. Just drove a Boxster, with 19s, premium plus, windscreen, artic paint. 53k!!!!! Can't believe it. What drives me nuts is that mats cost money as does a multifunction steering wheel. wtf?? crazy. 'course after hearing the engine at 4000 rpm it starts to make sense. Someone please tell me where they're getting this mark-off prices. I'd be willing to fly to get this kind of money off. The dealers here (atlanta) don't seem to even slightly hint at discount. I was told that multi func. steering wheels are very un-common and that I'd have to spec one.... someone pls. advise. First Porsche experience and man.......it was fn' killer.
