Default p1487 code

Persistent code (P1487) over the last month or so that wouldn't clear - no obvious symptoms.

I ended up installing a new solenoid valve in the vacuum system. Part number 72228002. ~$26. Simple install.

Cleared it right up.

Maybe this will help someone in the future.

Top front of the engine (see picture).

If you are doing this job, pick up a short piece of vacuum tubing too. Mine was very brittle. 999 231 42 01.

I proactively changed the oil separator while I was at it (it was original to the car).

Default

Just a quick follow-up. I also ended up replacing a second one of these solenoids in the vacuum system. The other one was just to the right of the red circle.
