Default Any issues with DSC Controllers on 987?

I'm strongly considering buying a DSC Controller for my PASM-equipped 987.2 when they are back in stock. They've been on backorder for a while now, but more units are expected around the end of the year.

Recently, I stumbled on this thread which suggests a number of issues, including overheating and software glitches: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1423...er-failed.html

These aren't at all inexpensive, the warranty is short, and I'd hate to end up with a pricey paperweight. Has anyone had a failure with this device specifically on a 987? I'm wondering if the failure rate may be different depending on model.

Those who have them on 987s seem to rave about them, which is what got me interested in buying one.

I have been running DSC suspension controller on my 987.2 with PASM for 5-6 yrs without a problem. It has made the car more capable and compliant. I have been running in factory settings. I recommend this plug in modification and the Sprint throttle boost. Together they make my 987.2 what I feel it should have been from the factory. The DSC control was well worth the money for me.

Same here. ~7 years in and still working fine. It did introduce an annoying whine in the car due to electrical interference, but especially for a track car (or older driver that can’t hear this frequency) it’s a minor issue.

I didn't get any electrical noise from it. My car is without modifications. Original Bose.

Thanks for the replies, good to hear. Hopefully the newer units are just as reliable for our cars.
