2009 987.2. My driver side window glass will drop normally when either the interior or exterior door handle is operated. The problem is that the glass will not stay dropped when the door is open, As soon as I let go of the interior handle, the glass rises back to the fully up position. When I close the door from the outside, the glass gets hung up on the upper edge. Moving the outside handle drops the glass allowing it to seal correctly. I have searched for a repair but have been unsucessful so far. Is there an adjustment somewhere? Both microswitches seem to be operating correctly.

The microswitch for the outside handle is in the latch assembly not the handle. Most likely this is the culprit as it's supposed to sense when the door is shut to close the window.

I just went through this-Deaton is correct. This should help-I just replaced mine on a 2005-probably the same part. The $27 VW part is the same as the 10X more expensive Porsche part.
